Fifth Round Grant Manual

DCR released the draft Round 5 CFPF grant manual for public on June 18th, 2024. Comments are due to Town Hall by July 18th, 2024 and can be submitted here. Wetlands Watch submits a comment letter for each draft manual in coordination with our partners in the Virginia Conservation Network.

Fourth Round Grant Manual

DCR released the final grant manual and opened the fourth CFPF application period on September 13th, 2023. Applications were due via WebGrants by November 12th, 2023. View the CFPF and Resilient Virginia Revolving Fund (RVRF) manuals, and access the application portal, here. Awards for the CFPF will be announced in January 2024 with $85 million available: $50 million via grants and $35 million via loans. The draft Grant Manual for the fourth round of CFPF funding was released on July 7th, 2023 for public comment. Public comments for the draft manual were due on August 6th, 2023. Public comments can be viewed at the VA Regulatory Town Hall.

Third Round Grant Manual

The Grant Manual for the third round of funding was released on January 5th, 2022. A total of $70 million was available for grants across two phases of the third cycle and applications were due at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 8th, 2022.

Second Round Grant Manual

The Grant Manual for the second round of funding was released and applications were due on Novemeber 5th, 2021. A total of $17 million was available for grants in the second cycle, not including the left over funds from the first round.

First Round Grant Manual

The first draft Grant Manual was released on April 5, 2021. Read comments here. Wetlands Watch hosted a lunch & learn on the draft manual - watch the recording, download the chat, or view the presentation slides. The State issued the first finalized Grant Manual on June 4, 2021. The first grant round ($18 million) ended on September 3, 2021 at 4PM.

Fund Guidelines

The State issued draft guidelines for the Community Flood Preparedness Fund on November 28, 2020. The draft guidelines were to inform the creation of a Grant Manual for the Fund and determine how tens of millions of dollars in resilience funding will be spent. The comment period for the draft guidelines closed on January 31st, 2021. Comments submitted can be read on Town Hall. A chart of comments with agency response was issued May 6, 2021.
